Course Information
Process of spermatogenesis and oogenesis forms the beginning of development. The united gametes thus formed unite to form the zygote. This undergoes serial divisions to form the blastocyst and later all other cells and tissues. In this module, you will learn the concepts of fertilization,blastocyst, morula, implantation, epiblasts, gastrulation, notochord formation and neural tube formation. This forms the foundation for firm understanding of systemic embryology and also builds the ground for gross anatomy learning.
